Judges Comments:
#1 This is a very pleasing photo of a flower taken in situ. The photographer has done a good job of controlling distractions; however, this judge has several comments. The focus of the top two pedals of the flower appears to be softer than the other pedals. This judge also suggests darkening the light background area in the top center, the two light objects to the right of the flower, the distracting straight object in the lower left corner, and the light area in the bottom right corner. This judge does not consider the flowers behind the center of interest to be distracting. On the contrary, they add context to the image.
