Southern Appalachian Nature Photographers (SANP) is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to photography of the natural environment. Our motto is "Sharing the Awareness of Nature thru Photography." Founded in 1991, SANP's home base is the Knoxville, TN, area, which abounds in superb nature photo opportunities. We are near the Appalachian Mountains, the Smokies, and the lakes, streams and pastoral valleys of East Tennessee.
We have nine meetings a year. These are held the LAST Tuesday of the month. We do not meet in December, June, or July. Our meetings feature highly skilled nature photographers from our region as well as nationally known artists from across the country. In addition, we have numerous field trips and seminars which are free to our more than 150 members. Our annual Salon photo competition is in February during which we display our members' entries and announce the winners. (Anyone can use the SANP referral code FNT-SHZ-Y7Y during sign up to Zenfolio to save $5 off their own subscription.) |
