#2 Where the snow meets the trees creates a line across the middle of the photo, and this line cuts through an interesting part of the subject tree. Lowering the camera would drop the snow/tree line and place the subject tree against the darker background. That would improve the composition.
#3 Backyard? – Frosty branches, but very dull light.
