Judge's Comments:
#1 The mallard, which is the center of interest, is so subdued in this image that it seems lost in the yellow flowers and white clover. The photographer, in post-processing, might consider cropping in from the left and carefully dodging the mallard to make it more prominent in order to effectively hold the viewer's eye.

#3 This is a nice image of the duck. There appears to be a line leading up to the duck with the dark space in the grass. Cropping from the left would allow the duck to really stand out in the image.
#4 The duck is obviously the subject. The duck is underexposed due to the backlighting. Increasing the overall brightness without over-exposing the vegetation would help. Try cropping in a little on the left to eliminate the area without flowers, it might help.
