Judge's Comments:
#1 Very nice image of a rose. Water droplets accent the most interesting part of the rose. The image is sharp with very good color and composed to take advantage of the subject. It is a pleasing photograph, but it lacks impact.

#3 This is a nice rose but the two bottom leaves distract from the rose. The bottom left leaf has some blemish that distracts. A tight crop on this rose would have made the water drops and the center of the rose stand out.
#4 Nice capture of a pretty rose. The water drops add interest. The sharp background is a little distracting, and a softer/blurred background would be better. The centered subject in a square frame is a little static.
