Judge's Comments:
#1 The cut branch in the background is in sharper focus than the fig in this image. If the fig was, in fact, the center-of-interest, the photographer should have used manual focus to assure sharpness of the subject, and the fig should be more prominent in the image. In post-processing, the photographer might have tried dodging the fig to highlight it; the distracting light portions of the images should have been darkened; and the light line (leaf edge) emanating from right of the fig should have been eliminated

#3 This image lacks a definite subject. Is it a bulb or the lighter color stem next to it?
#4 My eye is initially attracted to the light green leaves, and I assume the subject might be the plant's fruit/bud. The image is cluttered. Using sharp focus, lighting, and composition to clearly define the subject should improve the image.
