Judge's Comments:
#1 When viewed in preview, this image did not "work." When viewed for judging, something "clocked." It is a well-composed image whose center-of-interest the roses in the lower right corner, cannot be ignored. On the judge's screen, the color of the roses seems to run together, indicating a lack of sharpness.

#3 This image was probably very nice in person with all the colors. The problem with the image is determining what the subject is. The gazebo is too far back in the photograph. The red roses share attention with the walkway. Changing the composition location on this image may have helped focus on what the subject is.
#4 The image is sharp throughout. The red roses in the lower right are echoed by rose bushes in the distance. The green wall of trees in the background is overly dominant. Nice image.
