Judges Comments:
#1 A fine image. I like how the gentle bend of the foreground flower is echoed in a similar way in the out-of-focus flower behind it. With the limited resolution available on the web, I can’t be totally sure, but the butterfly seems to be a little soft on my monitor, perhaps because of the wide aperture. And my apologies to the photographer if the image is much sharper than it appears. (I had similar trouble assessing the relative sharpness of several images in this competition for which I would have liked to have had a closer look. Blame it on web viewing. Blame it on my recent cataract surgery)
