#1 This image has a lot of “lean-in” factor going on – and that’s a good thing! It makes me we want to lean in to look closer and figure out what I’m seeing (and I still don’t know for sure). This kaleidoscopic photo is one of the few in this competition that delivered IMPACT, which in this case matters more to me than the technical elements. The exposure and focus seem dead on, and I have no trouble picking out the intended subject of interest. A minor quibble: I might have applied some perspective control in the post to square up the minor deviations in the vertical lines. And it’s an iPhone image!
