Judges Comments:
#1 The shadow patterns are interesting, but the blown-out floorboards on the other side of the door detract from my enjoyment of this image. Admittedly, holding detail in the shadows and the highlights on an image with this much dynamic range would be a challenge in the best of circumstances, perhaps requiring HDR or image-stacking.
#2 The plant is obviously the subject and the shadows are interesting. The background is busy and complicates the composition.
